    Ceremony

    Recessional

The exit from the ceremony, with the couple leaving first followed by the wedding party in reverse pair order.

The recessional follows the pronouncement and kiss. The newly married couple exits first, followed by the wedding party in reverse of their entrance pairing, then immediate family.

Many couples plan a 'send-off' moment at the recessional — bubbles, ribbons, petals — which produces some of the day's best candid photos. Confirm with your venue, since rice, confetti, and sparklers are often restricted.
