    Shot List

A written list of must-have photos given to the wedding photographer ahead of the day.

A shot list tells your photographer exactly which combinations of family and friends you want documented. Without one, family portraits become chaotic and someone always gets missed.

A workable shot list is short: 15-25 family groupings (e.g., 'couple + bride's parents', 'couple + grandparents'), plus 5-10 detail shots (rings, invites, shoes, signage). Hand it to the photographer two weeks out so they can plan the lineup.
