    Ceremony

    Vows

The personal or traditional promises exchanged between the couple during the ceremony.

Wedding vows can be religious, traditional civil, or fully personal. Personal vows are typically 60-90 seconds per partner — anything over two minutes loses both audience and partner.

Common practice: write personal vows for each other privately, but share with the officiant a week ahead so they can flag length or content issues. Print on matching cards (not phone screens) for the ceremony.
