    Escort Card

A small card given to each guest at the reception entrance telling them which table they're seated at.

Escort cards are typically laid out alphabetically at a table near the reception entrance. Each card lists the guest's name and table number/name.

Don't confuse escort cards (which table) with place cards (which seat). Many modern weddings replace escort cards entirely with a single illustrated seating-chart sign — fewer printed pieces, more design impact, less day-of risk of cards being knocked over.
