    Ceremony

    Unity Ceremony

A symbolic ceremony moment representing the joining of two people, such as candle-lighting, sand-blending, or handfasting.

Unity ceremonies are an optional addition slotted between the vows and the pronouncement. Common formats include candle-lighting, sand-blending, wine-blending, handfasting (a Celtic cord ritual), tree-planting, and time-capsule sealing.

Unity ceremonies are popular when blending families (children participate by adding their own sand or candle), when honoring cultural heritage, or simply for a tactile photo moment.
